Ethics policy

Journalism is a profession of passion and determination. As the name suggests ‘Ground Report’, the organisation emphasises ground-based coverage of environmental issues. And, this demands a strong ethical framework, prioritizing integrity, impartiality, and social responsibility. Hence, our media organization is guided by:

  1. Accuracy, and Accountability: Provide accurate and evidence-based information, acknowledging uncertainties and avoiding misleading narratives. Acknowledge and rectify errors transparently, demonstrating accountability to our audience and stakeholders.
  2. Objectivity and Transparency: Uphold editorial independence, free from external influence, ensuring unbiased reporting and analysis of climate-related issues. Communicate sources, methodologies, and any potential conflicts of interest to maintain transparency and build trust with our audience.
  3. Environmental Responsibility: Minimize our ecological footprint, implementing sustainable practices in our operations to align with our climate advocacy.
  4. Respectful Discourse and Sensitivity: Foster a respectful and inclusive environment for discussions on climate issues, encouraging constructive dialogue and understanding. Approach climate-related topics with sensitivity, considering the potential impact of our content on diverse communities and cultures.
  5. Diversity and Community Engagement: Promote diverse perspectives, voices, and narratives, ensuring representation from various communities affected by climate change. Actively engage with our audience, addressing their concerns, and incorporating feedback to improve the quality and relevance of our content.

By adhering to these ethical principles, we strive to contribute responsibly to the global conversation on climate change, promoting awareness, understanding, and positive action.
